Ibrahim Vasija ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Istihara mobile application and web application (the "App"). This page explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information stored only on your device

The App saves the following preferences locally on your device using your device's standard storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us:

• Your selected display language (e.g. English, Albanian, Turkish)
• Your selected Quran translation
• The version number of the last update changelog you have seen

1.2 Network requests

When you use the App, it connects to our server to retrieve:

• Quran verses and their interpretations, based on the page number or surah/ayah you enter
• Instructions and "About" content in your selected language
• Surah names for the selected translation
• The current app version and update notes

These requests include only the information needed to return the correct content — specifically your selected language code and translation identifier. No personal information, device identifiers, account data, or location data is sent.

1.3 Information we do not collect

• Names, email addresses, or any account information
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses stored by us
• Location data
• Usage analytics or crash reports via third-party SDKs
• The page numbers or surah/ayah values you enter

2. How We Use Information

Server-side content (verses, translations, instructions, version data) is served in response to your requests and is not linked to any individual user. We have no means of identifying who requested what content.

3. Data Retention

All preferences are stored locally on your device. You can delete them at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. We do not store any user data on our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, or similar services.

When you tap "Update Now" in a force-update prompt, you are redirected to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Those platforms operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. It contains no user accounts, no registration flow, and no data collection mechanism. The App is suitable for all ages.

6. Security

All communication between the App and our server uses HTTPS. Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal data at risk.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and publish the revised policy at the same URL. Continued use of the App after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
